Nike approached RARE Design in the spring of 2021 to develop the identity for Ja Morant. If you are unfamiliar with Ja's playing style, all you really need to know is he is a force to be reckoned with on the court. His vertical is absolutely unstoppable. His speed, focus and accuracy are unparalleled.
Nike approached RARE Design in the spring of 2021 to develop the identity for Ja Morant. If you are unfamiliar with Ja's playing style, all you really need to know is he is a force to be reckoned with on the court. His vertical is absolutely unstoppable. His speed, focus and accuracy are unparalleled.
We spent an incredible amount of time researching Ja's style, values and love of the game. We ultimately landed on fusing elements from the speed he has on the court, the "Jaws" reference a few players in the NBA give him, and the chevron that sits at the bottom of the mark connects to his "Beneath No One" tattoo.
